At Rainbow Bakes, we have always believed that food can be a starting point for something bigger.
A recipe can teach patience.
A kitchen can teach independence.

And learning a practical skill can open a door.
Our community work brings this belief into practice through our involvement with organisations supporting neurodivergent young people in Nepal.
01. Autism Care Nepal Society
Learning through baking.
Through our work with Autism Care Nepal Society, we use baking as a practical and engaging environment for developing vocational, communication, sequencing, teamwork and everyday life skills.
The aim isn't simply to teach someone how to bake.
It is to create opportunities to learn how to participate, contribute and build confidence in a real-world environment.
Our sessions are designed with accessibility and individual differences in mind, drawing on principles of Universal Design for Learning wherever possible.
02. Down Syndrome Society Nepal
Hospitality with purpose.
Our work with Down Syndrome Society Nepal focuses on introducing young adults to practical hospitality skills and workplace experiences.
From communication and customer interaction to food handling, presentation and everyday workplace behaviours, the sessions are designed to make hospitality more accessible and meaningful.
Because employment readiness is not only about having a skill.
It is also about having the opportunity to practise that skill, be seen for your strengths and discover where you can contribute.
Why we do it
More than something sweet.
Rainbow Bakes began with the belief that a bakery could be more than a place that sells something sweet.
Over time, that belief has grown.
Today, we're interested in the spaces where food, learning, inclusion, family and opportunity meet.
We don't believe in doing things for people when we can create opportunities to learn and do things with people.
That is the kind of impact we want to keep building.
